Help:SearchTriple
From semanticweb.org
This is old documentation, see Help:Browsing and searching
This description applies to the old SMW version 0.7 The behavior is somewhat different in SMW 1.0, which ontoworld.org is running.Special:SearchTriple allows searching of triples (subject article, relation name, object article) and (subject article, attribute name, attribute value).
Requirements:
- at least something has to be filled in
- the subject name has either to be filled in fully or left blank
- if not left blank the object name has to contain the full namespace prefix; if there is none, only the main namespace is searched; filling in only the namespace prefix with colon is treated as leaving the box blank
It has some capabilities that in-page queries do not have:
- searching for relations and attributes; entering any substring of their names is also allowed
- searching for relations with a specific page outside the main namespace
- entering any substring for the object article name (Relation:Has stop is found by entering relation:stop, but not by entering relation or stop)
- entering a substring with which the attribute value starts
- namespace prefixes are shown in the results
Parameters:
- subject=full subject name (with the usual case-sensitivity and with namespace prefix) or nothing
- do=Search+Relations
- relation=any substring of relation name
- object=any substring of object name
- do=Search+Attributes
- attribute=any substring of attribute name
- value=first part of value
Examples:
Search for the film character David:
