Help talk:Semantics
Wow ! I'm the first one on this page ! I'm a little new to MediaWiki, not to mention its "meta" side, and have just dropped on wiki.ontoworld.org, so I'm really bold, maybe, in incipiating a new page.
Ok... Well, a talk on Help:Semantics is obviously an infinite subject...
Hum... er... some philosopher will probably come some day and have something to say about where is it best to start on the subject of semantics, but, for now, I just want to bring to this version some ideas I had while reading it :
By establishing the relations of synonymy between categories, we would meet the essence — and the crowd — of the free-tagging frenzy. Also, we would gain the richness of the whole earth vocabulary. Mmm, that could be cool, energizing, and enhance the jazzy side of language !...
Other folks thought along the same lines ? Or are those ideas implemented somewhere already ?
I thought anyway that that should be said somewhere. Feel free to move this text to somewhere it belongs better.
Cheers, gang !

[edit] typo in HTML?
I think I've found a typo in the factbox:
- <span class="swmfactboxheadbrowse">
...should that be "smwfactboxheadbrowse"?

[edit] Inheritance and properties
If animal is a page and it is an instance of the class (Category:Animal)
then how do we define properties of Animal such that subclasses, or rather instances of subclasses inherit this property
should Tiddles which is an instance of the class (Category:Cat) which is a subclass of Animal, not inherit this property say (Age:=)???
[edit] is this a :known bug?
The parser converts the wikitext [[bug::known|]] as :known. It is not of great importance, but it would be desirable to be able to remove the second colon. Hillgentleman 08:16, 9 December 2007 (CET)
