The theme of the 10th International Conference on Business Information Systems is Semantic integration of data and processes across enterprises and societies. The BIS conference is by now a well-respected event joining international researchers to discuss the wide range of the development, implementation, application and improvement of business applications and systems. It is addressed to the scientific community, people involved in the development of business computer applications, consultants helping to properly implement computer technology and applications in the industry.

Deputy Director of the Knowledge Media Institute. His work is focused on ontologies and web technologies facilitating knowledge sharing and learning, as well as WSMO compliant Internet Reasoning Service for creating and deploying semantic web services.

Research Program Manager of Business Process Management and Semantic Interoperability. Interested in advanced BPM technology and Database Systems, Information Systems Integration, Data warehousing, Web Based Information Systems Engineering, e-services, and Distributed Enterprise Computing.
