Category:Markup language
From semanticweb.org
A markup language is a special case of a formal language which is commonly used to mark up parts of textual documents, either to influence their appearance, or to explicate their significance in the context of the document. In contrast to ontology languages, most markup languages have no means of specifying schematic information, rules, or constraints on contents. Yet, the borderline might be fuzzy in some cases, and common sense and observed usage should be used as a main criterion when classifying languages.
