[edit] The Alt-Key Problem
Gnome (Metacity) (Ubuntu) seems to swallow all hotkeys using Alt+something because the window manager likes to handle this. There Are Two Solutions for this:
- Apparently Ctrl+Alt+ is not catched by the window manager and works as if you would have just used Alt+ in iMapping. In particular, to create a new item, just use Ctrl+Alt+Click.
- You can also change the modifier key permanently from alt to ctrl for iMapping by setting iMapping.EditingModifierKey=128 instead of 512 in your ~/cdstools.properties - Then the shortcuts documented for alt work with ctrl instead (ctrl+click and ctrl+enter to create and edit, ctrl+shift+enter to create a child...)
