Kazakhstan is a country in Central Asia, bordering Russia in the north, People's Republic of China in the east, Kyrgyzstan in the southeast, Uzbekistan in the south, Turkmenistan in the southwest and the Caspian sea in the west. With an area of 2,717,300 km², it is the largest of the Central Asian republics. Population: 15000000.
Its capital is Astana, and its biggest city is Almaty with 1 million inhabitants.
Most people speak either Kazakh, Russian, but many other minorities exist, speaking a.o. German, Ukranian, Polish, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Uighur.
