[edit] News and Events

  • We are happy to announce that the number of downloads of the QuASAR toolkit has exceeded 120 downloads.
  • The proceedings of the SeMMA workshop that I co-organised are now available at CEUR-WS.
  • Our paper on Automatic Annotation of Web Services was accepted for publication in the ACM transactions on the Web journal. The paper shows how information about the semantic annotations of web service parameters can be automatically inferred based on the data links that connect services operations within tested and trusted workflows. The paper can be downloaded from the ACM portal.
  • The QuASAR project is now launched. The project is building tools to support full life-cycle engineering of semantic annotations for Web services. The projects provides some resources that are relevant to the semantic web service community. In particular, a beta version of the QuASAR verification tool is now available under the GNU lesser general public license.

[edit] Past events

  • I recently gave a talk on metadata management at the CCGrid conference in Lyon. You can find the slides here.
  • I am co-organising together with Peter Haase, Mathieu d'Aquin and Paolo Missier the First International Workshop on Semantic Metadata Management and Applications (SeMMA 2008). The workshop is co-located with the ESWC conference.
  • The video of my talk at ISWC 2006 on automatic annotation of web services is available online.

[edit] Projects

  • QuASAR, Quality Assurance of Semantic Annotations of web seRvices.
  • FuGE, Functional Genomics Experiment.
  • iSPIDER, In Silico Proteome Integrated Data Environment Resource.
  • myGrid, a UK e-Science pilot project.
