OWLIM is a family of semantic repositories, or RDF database management systems, with the following characteristics:
- native RDF engines, implemented in Java and compliant with Sesame
- robust support for the semantics of RDFS, OWL Horst, OWL 2 RL, OWL 2 QL
- support for custom rule-sets
- efficient query optimizer
- RDF Rank, full-text search, Geo-spatial extension
- high performance retraction of statements, consistency checking mechanism, notification mechanisms
