Property:Contributor

A contributor is a person or organization (in the following formerly called as "user") who makes a edit within the wiki.
It would be nice if this attribute were automatically added to a document when someone edits it. There should be no need to add it manually to an article.
- But Semantic MediaWiki represents facts about the thing described by the article, not facts about the article itself. For example, Romeo and Juliet's contributor would be William Shakespeare (and its date 1596), not whoever wrote the wiki article (and 2007). If you want information about an article, use Special:Export which produces XML with a <contributor> tag giving the username who last edited. -- Skierpage 08:49, 5 January 2008 (CET)
