Property:Country

Please use Property:Has location country for specifying the country that something is located in. Country pages themselves do not need that, and the annotations there (with value "v") should just be deleted.

Confusing name, IsACountry would be an improvement. Also this and other 'v' or blank attributes are a dubious use of Type:String. If you really want a "yes"/"no"/"partly" attribute, you can use Type:Enumeration; if you want to display a check mark or not, you can enable Type:Boolean support and specify what to display in queries for true and false values in a format string. (The source code for Boolean ships with SMW 0.7, it's not enabled by default because it's yet another type choice.) The general missing feature is a way for an inline query to display a symbol (e.g. a checkmark) if a property has a particular value, rather than displaying the value itself; by all means file an enhancement request bug. -- Skierpage 03:43, 11 June 2007 (CEST)

warning.pngOnly pages in namespace "" are allowed here. Marks a page as being about a country, to allow a table resulting from a query to dedicate one column to the property of being a country. Another column could be dedicated to the property of being a province or city.

Compare with Category:Country. This allows putting info about being a country, a province, or a city in a single column, along with the other categories the pages are in.

The value is "v" (perhaps to be changed to "yes" or "country") for a country page, and undefined for other pages.
