Elevation above sea level is an attribute applied to locations such as regions, cities, or mountains. It indicates the approximate height the location has in comparison to the world's mean ocean level (see this Wikipedia article for more information). For now its type is Type:Length, see that page for supported units. It can contain negative values for locales actually below sea level, such as Death Valley, ocean reefs or numerous cities.
