The steering committee is a group of people that is in charge of planning and organising an event series, not just a single event.

Note: Steering committee members may sometimes be listed for one particular event together with members of the organisation committee and programme committee. However, the steering committee is normally not specific for one particular event but for the whole series. To annotate steering committee members, one should therefore provide the current steering committee on the page of the associated event series. On event pages, one may list the steering committee stating that it was the committee at the time of this event.
