This is of type Float so that it can accept floating point values and will sort them correctly. The warning about "this attribute supports no unit conversion" should be fixed in a version of SMW after 0.6.
It could instead use Type:Mortality rate with its "unit" of deaths/1000 live births, however that doesn't allow a comma in "1,000" due to limitations in custom unit parsing.
