Property:Main display unit

This description applies to the old SMW version 0.7 The behavior is somewhat different in SMW 1.0, which ontoworld.org is running.

main display unit was a special semantic attribute that specifies the main unit for attribute display. If an attribute does not specify a main display unit or any Display unit, then it will first appear converted into the standard unit for the type. You can add one of these values to an attribute page to show values in some other unit in the tooltip and factbox and some search results. For example, see how Property:Age displays ages in years, rather than in s (seconds) that is the standard unit for Type:Time.

Note that even if you limit the display of units, you can still specify an attribute value using any unit that the attribute's type supports.

This is obsolete in SMW 1.0. Instead specify a comma-separated list of display units in Property:Display units, and the first one is effectively the main display unit. Any pages in the list below Pages using the property “Main display unit” need to be changed.
