Property talk:Source
All statements should ideally have a source. I think there should be implemented a way to apply this attribute to relations and properties. There should be an easy way to specify sources. Perhaps there could be a link for general metadata at the bottom of the page, where sources also could be? See bottom of page for example. Fuelbottle 01:57, 23 November 2005 (CET)
Perhaps a way to add sources to statements could be to use Wikipedia:Footnotes and make it interpret sources written in the format {{ref|Note1}} as a source of a particular statement if it written directly after it. For example if an article had [[is a::President]]{{ref|Ref1}}{{ref|Ref2}} and on the bottom of the page: # {{note|Ref1}} http://someurl.com # {{note|Ref2}} http://someurl.. It could then look for {{ref|<name>}} after links and if found, save the urls found on the bottom of the page as a source for the statement. Fuelbottle 16:22, 27 November 2005 (CET)
- The "source" for a statement is always the article page for the subject of the property. To specify a reference for it, in the property page you could use n-ary relations and add a Type:URL after the basic property type, in which you provide the reference URL. -- Skierpage 22:15, 7 December 2007 (CET)
