Property talk:Weight (Scientific)
Were we worried about taking objects from Earth to, say, Venus ;-) ?
Seriously though I think it goes back to the principle of letting the user enter data the way they are used to it and let the machine transform. There should be an inheritance mechanism to assume default location Earth, Sea Level so the user does not have to sit down with a calculator and use <math>W = m*Gravitational Acceleration</math> just to enter an attribute which is usually given as W. -- User:Usoy

In full aproval of the above comment, I add that the syntactic statements on this page are really not useful for normal wiki users. We will soon introduce a simple way of adding customised units and conversions. But it will nt involve any such complex expressions. Semantic MediaWiki is not planning to support the stuff within this article in a forseeable future. For replies and discussions, use our mailing lists. --Markus Krötzsch 11:08, 27 July 2006 (CEST)
Indeed. Now that we have working Help:Custom units, I renamed this page so that we can have a useful Attribute:Weight of Type:Mass that displays in kg and lbs. There are some neat ideas in this page about unit support and concepts, so sure please join us! -- Skierpage 02:06, 19 August 2006 (CEST)
