This hands-on Workshop will be an opportunity to learn about ongoing research and development effort in the area of Semantic End-User Applications, Semantic Desktop, and Semantic Personal Knowledge Management. It will consist of a scheduled program of talks, presentations and demos, and self-organized phases where small teams go into hands-on development and discussions on concrete projects.

Invited participants are practitioners, researchers, and interested IT persons; it is recommended to contribute by a short presentations or demo of your own work.

Deadline for registration and submissions is March 28th 2008.

This event is limited to a maximum of 30 participants.

Directions:

  • Subway: take subway U3 (timetable) to station Dahlem-Dorf, leave the station by the staircase in the back, walk ahead to Königin-Luise-Straße turn right and follow the street for about 300m, turn right at Hechtgraben, cross Arnimallee after about 200m, follow the small path between the buildings until you reach the rectangular court after 100m, the entrance to the building is to your left.
  • Busses (from Steglitz): take line X83 (timetable as PDF) to Museen Dahlem, cross Königin-Luise-Straße and walk into Arnimallee, after about 150m turn left into the small path between the buildings until you reach the rectangular court after 100m, the entrance to the building is to your right.

This event is limited to a maximum of 30 participants.

Please send your registration to Leo Sauermann until March 28th. We encourage participants to give talks, presentations or demos on ongoing research and development effort, this is however not mandatory in order to participate. Please enclose a proposal for your contribution within your registration. We will have about 15 slots for talks/presentations, 20 minutes each.

Your registration information should consist of

  • name and title,
  • affiliation,
  • research interest and activities,
  • expectations with regard to the workshop.

Participation fee for the three-day workshop is 40 EUR, to be paid at the first workshop day on site.

If not indicated otherwise by you, we will put your name and affiliation on the public list below.
