- Semantic Wikipedia - trying to integrate Semantic MediaWiki with Wikipedia to make the knowledge within even more accessible
- DBpedia [1] is a community effort to extract structured information from Wikipedia and to make this information available on the Web.
- Project Halo is an effort by ontoprise (sponsored by Vulcan Inc.) to implement user friendly additions to Semantic MediaWiki (Halo Extension and the commercial distribution SMW+) advertising the immediate benefit of semantic technology to casual users.
