[edit] Redirects and Semantics

Redirects should only be used in cases where the Redirection-Article is just a Pseudonym for the Target-Article. If the semantic meaning is different - even in very small parts - then there has to be a separate Lemma. This is because of the lack of adding additional semantic meaning within a Redirection-Article in the current implementation of the MediaWiki-Engine.
Note, that therefore a Redirect means the same as Relation:is same as.
Personally, I felt that this behavior should change so that we can provide separate Lemmas for Machines (semantics and translations), and a combined Article for Humans (text in natural language) to reduce redundancy. This is because of the current practise of Wikipedians to delete very small Articles and make them a redirection to a section of a more general Article.
