Template:Duplicate annotation
In a wiki, it may happen that multiple semantic annotations (relations, attributes, categories, types) are introduced to express the same information. For performance reasons, Semantic MediaWiki does not support merging such annotations in queries, and hence all but one of the multiple names should not be used. This template is used to indicate that some other annotation should be used instead of the one for which this template is used. To use this template, write
{{Duplicated annotation|Suggested annotation}}
where "Suggested annotation" is the annotation that should rather be used for the given purpose. The case that an annotation is deprecated for other reasons is covered by Template:Deprecated annotation.
Articles tagged with this template will appear in the Category:Deprecated annotations.
The following text is included by the template:
| This page represents a semantic annotation which should no longer be used since it is a duplicate of another existing annotation. Please use {{{1}}} instead. If there are still articles using this annotation, you can help fixing them. In some cases, automated refactoring might be needed to change a larger number of articles. |
