I received a D.E.A in computer science (french diplom: Diplome d'Etudes Approfondies), main topic artificial intelligence and a maitrise (equivalent to the master) in pure mathematics where my main topics were algebra and order theory.
I started my dissertation in November 2001, working for the http://www.l3s.de . This research institution was at the time specialized in E-Learning. The project I was working for was http://www.l3s.de/projects/padlr. AIFB and then the group from Prof. Stumme in Kassel: http://www.kde.cs.uni-kassel.de was working on a submodule of this project called: the Courseware Watchdog.
The Courseware Watchdog is finally released as a Sourceforge project: http://cwatchdog.sf.net. The goal of the project was to build a tool suite to find and organize learning material. It integrated diverse tools implemented at the LS3.
In 2007, I finished my Ph.D entitled: the Query-Based Multicontext Browser. This dissertation describes a new framework for exploring knowledge bases. The theory behind this frameworks is based on a combination of queries to a knowledge base and traditional Formal Concept Analysis knowledge browsing approaches. The users of the tool can create views and manipulate surrogate representations of formal contexts in order to display complex relationships.
In 2008, I started working for the KUMAtronik Software GmbH, currently Kumatromik GmbH to implement webshops as well as an event managing system.
