I'm a wikipedian who's excited about the Semantic Wiki.

I have a blog: http://www.speakeasy.org/~lion/

Notes to self:

  • The syntax for typed links is [[ link type :: link target ]]
  • Can't do things like "The population of Santa Cruz in 1977 was..." yet. (Too complicated to start with.)

Questions I'm wondering:

  • Multiplicity- what do you do with pages where the thing defined actually has 3 different interpretations? The Semantic Web for instance, is interpreted very differently by different people. Disambiguation pages?
    • I think, it would be perfect to link to the disambiguated pages instead.
  • Wikipedians -- "is a::group"? "is a::community"? "group of::people"? I suppose we're just going to go, and find out what works, what doesn't work, and see! Probably faster than trying to figure it out in our heads, right? But if there are general principles, what are they? Am I interpreting this right? Is it really okay for me to just make up ontology as I go?
Hmmm, I probably would make Wikipedians a category instead of a typed link. Both will be interpreted semantically, anyway, and be exported. --Denny 15:28, 27 October 2005 (CEST)
Yeah, categories are there, already. But if You prefer, you can use 'is a'. We'll experiment.--129.13.73.109 20:04, 27 October 2005 (CEST)
