What's planned

The current Semantic MediaWiki development activities provide a real-time overview of what is happening at the moment. More general information is given in the article on Semantic MediaWiki. Please tell us, what you think (e.g. via the mailing lists on Sourceforge).

Creating new attribute types is not supported, but it is rather easy to add new datatypes in the software. See "Built in Types" for some hints. We need to figure out how to enable users to define automatic unit conversion (which now works for units like m and km²) for arbitrary units. However, a rich set of predefined types with support for many physical units could easily be provided, and this might already suffice in many cases.
